About Us

Why Semper Salutaris.
As a Marine, I always hold close to our motto “Semper Fidelis”, Latin for “Always Faithful.” With my desire to always be found faithful, I believe my business should reflect that. When crafting my business’s brand, I wanted to fully portray my intent to serve each client and household. “Salutaris” means “saving, wholesome, and healthy” in Latin, and is a perfect illustration of my intent for every person I serve. Always saving, wholesome, and healthy. I’m happy to say my service looks a little different today than when I wore the uniform; I traded that uniform for a suit, and my title of “Staff Sergeant” for “Mr.” but I still stand ready and willing to serve you honorably.
Philip Ferraro, Our Founder
Raised in southern Virginia, I started wresting in 10th grade. While wrestling may not have been my path to greatness, I enjoyed it to the fullest. While being challenged mentally and physically on and off the mat, I credit this as a turning point that put me on my path in life. Wrestling provided me with a foundation of discipline, courage, and integrity. Since I feel so strongly about what wrestling did for me, I give back to the sport through officiating now as a Michigan High School Athletics Association wrestling official assigned with the Huron Valley Officials Association since 2018.
At 17 years of age, three weeks after high school graduation, I left for basic training with the Marine Corps. During my service, my commitment to excellence helped me to earn numerous personal and unit awards. After nearly 12 years of service and multiple deployments, I was medically separated and looking for the next opportunity to serve. This time I found my opportunity to serve the community through financial advocacy. In September of 2014 I was contracted to my first position in the financial services industry with MetLife. Since then, I have served the greater Jackson and Ann Arbor areas through various companies.
In 2019, I had the privilege to be a founding Board Member of the Athletic Career Center at the University of Michigan. Serving in this capacity allows me to educate the community in financial literacy as well as invest in the lives of the students. Here I get to work with other top tier employers and industries to provide career insight as well as encourage personal and professional development, and help identify different experience opportunities through community interaction and internships, among other opportunities and challenges that arise.
When I am not actively engaged with my clients, I enjoy spending time with my wife, three children, and three dogs. We enjoy traveling when we have the opportunity and we love to catch Michigan sporting events. Go Blue!
