Philosophy
Managing assets is an important part of what we do. I see part of our responsibility as being to provide clear, concise advice and timely execution when managing your assets. We are partnered with AssetMark Trust Services (ewealthmanager.com) as custodian of our advisory assets, and utilize many of their third party specialists when appropriate to ensure maximum efficiency at the most reasonable cost. Part of this relationship includes regular regional training and updates that AssetMark provides that contributes to improved experiences on all sides of the process.
Advisory is only part of what we do for you at Semper Salutaris, and our relationship with AssetMark and their investment specialists grants us the time to focus on two other important factors of our practice. These two factors are consulting and educating. We truly believe this is what sets us apart. Understanding that the basis of true consulting holds us to the highest possible standard when assessing and making recommendations for YOUR financial decisions. In order for you to make the best financial decision, ensuring you understand the options available to you and how they differ is important. While some of my clients may not feel “financially fluent” to start with, I always love when the light bulb goes off when they get it! This is when we know we’ve fully completed the process from assessing your position and situation, through the initial phase of the consulting and education, and to the decision. Now we’re ready to execute! In the vast majority of instances, this same process is continually repeated and complimented with asset management.
Building onto the education piece, part of our company’s commitment is to do our best to also educate our communities. We accomplish this through a number of avenues. One of which is leveraging our relationship with the University of Michigan Athletic Career Center and providing financial education to the student athletes and building on that to include more students in the university, and ideally to local public and private high schools. We understand the sooner we can incorporate “financial intelligence” into our communities, the more financially stable our communities can become, and it is our goal to provide that. The second part of educating our communities is through complimentary periodic seminars on various topics. Have a topic you’d like to hear about? Please go to the “Contact” tab and submit a recommendation! We look forward to seeing you soon!
